The Lok Sabha Secretariat brings out several publications for the information needs of the members of Parliament. These publications, delineating diverse aspects of Parliamentary activities, give the readers an insight into the operational dynamics and nuances of the functioning of Parliament. This collection provides knowledge creation of the data generated by the Indian Parliament in the form of books, etc. 283 publications are being uploaded/migrated here in this collection.

The debates of six sessions of Constituent Assembly-Legislative held from 17 November, 1947 to 24 December, 1949 are part of this collection. A total of 169 debate dates are being uploaded/placed here in this collection.

The rich proceedings of the Indian Legislative Council of the years 1854 to 1920 thereby covering a period of 66 years have been digitized.

During Session, the brief record of proceedings of the House is prepared and published each day in the form of Bulletin-Part I. This collection contains Bulletin-Part I from 1952 onwards. More than 250 digitized Bulletins volumes are being uploaded/migrated here.

The official report of the proceedings of the Lok Sabha is prepared, published and printed by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. The digitized Hindi version of the text of debate of each day sitting from 1st Lok Sabha onward is being uploaded/migrated in this collection.

In this collection, Questions and Answers asked and answered on the floor the House in Lok Sabha can be browsed and searched from the categorized data filtered by Lok Sabha number, session number, date, question type, member’s participation, and ministry wise. More than 10 lakh digitized questions and answers are being uploaded in this collection for search and view.

Since Independence, the country has witnessed several Prime Ministers as the Executive head of the Government of India. Some of the significant speeches of the Prime Ministers, delivered in the Lok Sabha, can be browsed by various parameters under this collection. 514 Speeches in Hindi and English version are being uploaded/migrated here in this collection.

The speeches of various Finance Ministers and Railway Ministers are part of this collection. The Railways Budget till 2016 was presented as a separate Budget by the railways minister. It merged with the General Budget from the year 2017. More than 180 speeches of Budget (General and Railways) are being uploaded /migrated here in this collection.

The Government of India Act of 1919, that gave effect to the Montague-Chelmsford Reforms, established a bicameral Legislature at the Centre. The Indian Legislature consisted of the Governor-General and the two Houses-the Council of State and the Legislative Assembly. The 852 debates of various sessions of the Council of State held from 1921 to 1946 are being uploaded/migrated here in this collection.

More than 75 Information Bulletins are being downloaded/uploaded here in this collection.

The official report of the proceedings of the Lok Sabha is prepared,published and printed by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. The digitized copy of debates of each day sitting from 1st Lok Sabha onward is being uploaded/migrated here in this collection for browsing by Lok Sabha Number, Title, Date etc. More than 6000 days debates will be part of this collection shortly.

In this collection, the discussions held on the floor of the house from 1st Lok Sabha to 18th Lok Sabha can be browsed and searched from the categorized data filtered by Lok Sabha number, session number, date, debate type, member’s participation, and title wise. More than one lakh digitized debates types with associated metadata are being uploaded in this collection.

At the commencement of the First Session after each general election to the House of the People, that is, Lok Sabha and at the commencement of the First Session of each year, it is one of the constitutional functions of the President to address both Houses of Parliament assembled. All the Presidential Addresses from 1950 onwards can be browsed by title and date. More than 85 Presidential Addresses in Hindi and English version will be uploaded/migrated here in this collection.

The Constituent Assembly of India first met on the 9 December, 1946 and continued till 24 January, 1950. On 29 August 1947, the Constituent Assembly had set up a Drafting Committee under the Chairmanship of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. 168 digitized debates in Hindi and English version are being uploaded/ migrated in this rich treasured collection.

The debates of various sessions of the six Legislative Assemblies from 1921 to 1947 are part of its collection. 1756 digitized debates are being uploaded/migrated here in this collection.

The Original Version i.e. the verbatim reports of Lok Sabha Debates are available on Digital Sansad Website under the heading Uncorrected Debates. The Uncorrected Debates are released onto the Homepage on the next day for the use of the members, media persons, researchers and the public at large. Copies of the digital born Uncorrected debates are being uploaded here as and when made available.

This collection comprises digitized copies of various Parliamentary Committee Reports of Lok Sabha viz. Financial Committees, Departmentally Related Standing Committees, Other Parliamentary Standing Committees and Adhoc Committees. More than twelve thousand Parliamentary Committee Reports are being uploaded/migrated in this collection.

The ‘Journal of Parliamentary Information’ ‘संसदीय पत्रिका’ in Hindi version brought out by the Lok Sabha Secretariat have been digitized and made available in the collection. More than 240 digitized volumes of “Journal of Parliamentary Information” are being uploaded/migrated here in this collection. The Hindi version of the same is available with the collection name “Periodicals” on this website.
